Using ChartBook

ChartBook is a desktop journal for traders. During the beta it is free to use for your own trading journal. Please don't resell, repackage or reverse-engineer it.

Not financial advice

ChartBook records what you write and works out numbers from the trades you enter. Nothing in the app, on this site or in its statistics is investment, financial or trading advice. Your trading decisions, and their results, are yours.

Your account

The beta is invite-only: you join the waitlist and we let people in a few at a time. Your account is for you alone. We may end beta access at any time; the journal files on your computer and your backups stay yours.

Your data

Your journal belongs to you; see the privacy page for what's kept on your computer and in your account. ChartBook makes weekly backups on your computer, but please also keep your own (Settings → General → Your data → Back up).

Beta software, as is

The beta is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It may have bugs, change, or stop being available. To the extent the law allows, ChartBook is not liable for lost data, lost profits or other damages from using it.

Feedback

If you send feedback, we may use it to improve ChartBook without owing you anything for it. Thank you, it's how the app gets better.
